As a part of the operations to fly the British nationals back home, a special PIA flight PK701 carrying 403 passengers left Islamabad for Manchester on Saturday morning.
It would be followed by a flight for Birmingham later in the afternoon as part of the operations planned by the PIA for the British nationals stranded in Pakistan.
Earlier on Saturday, two special flights carrying British diplomats and other nationals had left Islamabad for the UK – PK9701 left for Manchester and PK9785 for London.
Similarly, two more flights PK701 and PK791 were operated for Manchester and Birmingham from the federal capital on Sunday.
According to the schedule, one flight will be operated from Islamabad to Manchester and another from Lahore to London on April 8 (Wednesday).
Similarly, two PIA aircraft will transport the British nationals from Islamabad to Manchester and another to London on April 9.
The PIA flight operations came as British High Commissioner Christian Turner made hectic efforts and held talks with the Pakistan government on the subject.
