Recently restore Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary termed the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s decision regarding the deputy speaker’s ruling and the dissolution of the National Assembly.
Taking to Twitter, Fawad wrote that this unfortunate decision has increased the political crisis in Pakistan to manifolds.
He said an immediate election could have brought stability to the country but unfortunately, the people’s importance has been ignored.
He said let's see how the matter unfolds in future.
Earlier, in response to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s statement that they need seven months to hold the elections, Fawad said to delay the elections for more than 90 days would be a violation of the constitution and the economy cannot afford the seven months of anarchy.
In another tweet, Fawad said the judges should also examine the material on which the deputy speaker’s ruling was based. He questioned that if the judges decide not to review the documents and evidence then how they can judge on the merit of the ruling. He demanded that the court should review the evidence in an in-camera session otherwise we have to restart the journey of freedom from 1940.
