Fiji's Vijay Singh, the 2000 Masters champion, pulled out of the field for the 89th edition on Monday with an undisclosed injury, Augusta National Golf Club said.
"Due to injury, Vijay Singh has informed the competition committees he will not play in the 2025 Masters Tournament," Augusta National said in a brief statement.
Singh, 62, was scheduled to make his 32nd Masters start. The Hall of Famer, who beat Ernie Els by three strokes to win the Green Jacket in 2000, made the cut last year, finishing in a tie for 58th.
Singh, who won 22 of his 34 US PGA Tour titles after he turned 40, is a regular on the Champions Tour and finished tied for 18th on Sunday in the over-50 circuit's James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational in Florida.
