In a successful intelligence-based operation carried out by security forces in the Takwara area of Dera Ismail Khan district on the night of 6/7 April, nine Khwarij terrorists were killed, including high-value target and ringleader Shireen.

According to details, during the operation, the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in an intense fire exchange. As a result, nine terrorists were neutralised and sent to hell, including the notorious ringleader Shireen.

The troops also recovered highly sophisticated weapons and a large cache of ammunition from the terrorists' possession.

Khawarij's ringleader, Shireen, was most wanted by law enforcement agencies for his involvement in numerous terrorist activities, including the target killing of innocent civilians. 

Khawarij's ringleader, Shireen, was also responsible for the martyrdom of Captain Hasnain Akhtar, Shaheed, on March 20, 2025.

Security officials said that today’s operation has avenged the martyrdom of Captain Hasnain and brought the mastermind to justice.

A sanitisation operation is currently underway in the area to ensure no other terrorist elements remain. 

The security forces reiterated their resolve to completely eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

It is also noteworthy here that the channel reported yesterday that Pakistan’s security forces thwarted terrorists infiltration bid from the Afghanistan border and killed eight terrorists after an intense exchange of fire. 

According to an ISPR press release, on the night of 5/6 April, movement of a group of khwarij trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was picked up by the security forces in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District. 

The troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. After an intense exchange of fire, eight Khawarij were sent to hell, while four Khawarij got injured. 

Pakistan has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. The interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

A sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Khawarji found in the area as security forces of Pakistan are determined and remain committed to securing its borders and wiping out the menace of terrorism from the country. ading troops from the front.
