Killers of the prominent politician of Balochistan Malik Ubaidullah Kasi were killed by the police in the Pishin district on Saturday.
According to the report of 24News HD TV channel, Pishin police killed five accused involved in the abduction and killing of the Awami National Party (ANP) leader in an encounter.
The police spokesperson said that they had killed the five accused involved in the murder and abduction of Kasi in an exchange of firing in the Pishin area and recovered hand grenades and other weapons from their possessions.
The spokesperson also said that they had identified all five persons who were killed in the encounter.
Kasi, a member of ANP’s Central Committee was found murdered in Pishin two days ago on Thursday, August 05 after his abduction from a Kuchlak area on June 26 last. His body was found in the Saranan area of Pishin.
Earlier, the ANP and the family members of kidnapped Ubaidullah Kasi had expressed deep concerns and appealed to the concerned authorities to play their effective role in the recovery of Kasi.
A protest camp had been set up in the Kuchlak area against abduction, what ANP had called the failure of the government to recover Kasi.
Ubaidullah Kasi was kidnapped on June 26 by unknown armed men from Killi Kateer on the outskirts of Quetta.
Following the incident, ANP activists and the family members of Kasi staged a protest demonstration on Quetta-Chaman highway, blocked the highway.
