The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will hold a public rally at Parade Ground Islamabad on August 13 as a demonstration of the "public's power", against the government.
It has been announced by the leader and former federal minister Farrukh Habib on his Twitter account.

Reportedly, the decision was taken by the party during a meeting headed by Imran Khan Saturday. It is also decided that PTI will hold a public gathering in Islamabad, a major show of power, on August 14 to mark Independence Day.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PTI is trying to overcome the incumbent government, demanding them to hold early elections in the country.
The party has already given a one-month deadline to the federal government to hold general elections in the country.
It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has decided to contest the elections in nine constituencies of the National Assembly. Interestingly, Imran Khan has contested five seats at a time in the last general elections and also won all these constituencies with a good margin and now he has announced to contest by-elections on all nine seats himself.
The party held a long March towards Islamabad on May 25, which faced stiff resistance from PDM led government from entering the capital.
However, PTI Chairman Imran Khan cancelled the March in order to avoid confrontation and announced that he would return to the capital again.
After the Azadi March, the party gained public sympathies and political mileage as it secured victory on 15 seats vacated by its dissident MPAs and was able to grab the slot of the chief minister for its candidate Parvez Elahi, who was declared successful after a decision from the apex court.
