Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has showered loads of praises on China’s investment worth billions of dollars on development projects, part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The prime minister said while conferring awards upon prominent Chinese companies for their valuable services in fostering CPEC and other development projects in Pakistan.
Addressing the event in Islamabad on Monday, Shehbaz Sharif said China’s investment altered the Pakistan’s entire economic horizon.
The prime minister said the Chinese companies made more than $30 billion investment in different development projects in Pakistan, which is highly commendable.
He said they are entering the second phase of CPEC with focus on agriculture, IT and establishment of Special Economic Zones. He also lauded the role of Chinese companies and their hard work for Pakistan’s progress.
The PM also expressed his gratitude to Chinese Charge d'Affaires for taking personal interest in making CPEC a symbol of time-tested China-Pakistan friendship.
Chinese Charge d'Affaires in Pakistan Ms Pang Chunxue, in her speech, said they are fully convinced that after 10 years' successful CPEC cooperation Islamabad and Beijing will continue to move forward side by side to meet risks and challenges, jointly promote the high-quality development of CPEC and China=Pakistan community with a shared future.
