Changing its visa policy for its friendly countries in the Gulf region, Pakistan has now decided to provide an on-arrival visa facility to the citizens of these countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has included Saudi Arab, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE on its priority list.

Under the new arrangement, the immigration staff will review each and every visa application and intimate the applicant about their decision within 24 hours.

All zonal directors will be bound to process the applications from these countries, which are presently on the stop list, before the expiry of the deadline.

Not only that, these directors will interview the officers sitting at immigration counters.

Furthermore, it will be mandatory for these officers to say ‘Welcome to Pakistan’ to the arrivals from these countries.

There will also be separate counters for women at airports.

Similarly, at each airport, there will be an FIA facilitation officer, who will wear an armband of his post.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan has already been issuing visas to the citizens of these countries for tourism and business purposes on a priority basis.
