Another provincial lawmaker of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) submitted his resignation to the party leadership on Monday. 

Addressing the social media convention of her party on Sunday, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had hinted at resigning from assemblies. 

Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar is a member of the Punjab Assembly from the PP-185 constituency, Basirpur, Depalpur Tehsil, Okara District. 

Iftikhar says he is the first PML-N MPA from Sahiwal Division and general secretary of the Sahiwal Division to submit his resignation to the party leadership in line with the party high command’s direction. He criticized the government’s policies and said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should go home.
