The authorities have increased the prices of essential food items in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
The district admin in capital of most populated province announced a Rs15 per litre increase in milk price and the new rate of the commodity reached Rs115 per litre.

It raised the price of yogurt by Rs15 per kg. The new price Rs135 per kg. The administration raised pulse rates by Rs10-20 per kg.
The prices of rice and gram is increased by Rs15 and the official rate of mutton surged by Rs150 to Rs1100 per kg.

The development comes a day after an alliance of opposition parties, Pakistan Democratic Movement, announced an 'anti-inflation march' on March 23.
The PDM chief told the media that the march will be a huge demonstration as people from all walks of life will reach Islamabad against inflation, unemployment and poverty.
