Former Sindh Chief Minister and senior politician Liaquat Jatoi has decided to leave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), dealing a blow to the party in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

According to family sources, Jatoi took the decision after consulting with his party leaders and supporters. He will formally announce his exit from the party at a public meeting on December 9.

The sources said that Jatoi has not yet decided which party to join next, but he will make his decision soon.

Jatoi had joined PTI in 2017 after leaving Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

He had contested the 2018 general elections from NA-234 (Dadu) on a PTI ticket, but lost to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Rafiq Ahmed Jamali.
