Education Authority Lahore has imposed a ban on opening of private educational institutions during winter vacations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education Parvaiz Akhtar Khan while issuing instructions said that exams cannot be allowed to be taken in schools during vacations and teachers will also not be forced to calls to duty during vacations.
Opening educational institutions during holidays will result in heavy fine of Rs0.2 million or cancellation of school registration on the spot, said the CEO.
In this regard Education Authority Lahore has already formed teams for inspection.
Five tehsils will be monitored by Deputy District Education Officers (DEOs) and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs).
The Education Authority has issued orders to schools across the city.
Hundred percent implementation of the orders will be ensured, Parvez Akhtar Khan concluded.
