Former special assistant to Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari Monday burst over Shehzad Akbar and his supporters and demanded the accountability of those who were backing him and giving a wrong report of his ‘good performance’ to Imran Khan during the last three years.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Zulfi Bukhari talked to media in London on Monday and said those who submitted reports of Shehzad Akbar's "great work" to PM should also be dismissed
Zulfi Bukhari said Shahzad Akbar was failed to fulfil his responsibilities and there could be many reasons for his failure to be accountable. Maybe he didn't understand the system himself, his team was not good or he is not a good lawyer, Zulfi Bukhari added.
He said people expected to return the stolen money, if not money then at least they will be able to bring back Nawaz Sharif but Shahzad Akbar could not handle it properly.
Zulfi Bokhari said it would not be right to hold Shahzad Akbar alone responsible for the failure of accountability.
He said lack of timely judicial reform was their weakness that they acknowledge. He expressed hope that the new head of Assets Recovery is expected to ensure accountability
