On the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, a plane of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) with a 51-member rescue team will land in Istanbul today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the PIA spokesperson, K707 plane will depart from Lahore to Istanbul with the Pakistani rescue team and their special equipment.
Arrangements have also been made for the supply of relief goods. The PIA has daily flights to Istanbul which will be available all the time for the government’s relief measures.
The PIA administration has also made the delivery of relief goods free of charge on humanitarian grounds.
The delivery of relief goods on all the PIA flights to Istanbul (Turkey) and Damascus (Syria) have been made free.
The relief goods can be delivered to the PIA’s cargo terminal through National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
“The PIA has always offered its services in the larger national interest, which is our national duty,” the spokesperson said.
“The PIA will use all resources for bringing back the injured Pakistanis from Turkiye,” he added.
