An additional session judge in Sukkur has approved the pre-arrest bail of the Police Helpline 15 In-charge Ali Muhammad Mehar in a case of violence against an elderly woman beggar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The sub-inspector assaulted an elderly woman beggar in public on Minara Road near Shalimar Phatak in Sukkur.
A case was registered against him in Sukkur’s C Section police station. However, the court of Additional Session Judge 2 on Tuesday granted him interim bail till February 13 against the surety bonds of Rs.30,000.
It merits here to mention that SSP Sukkur Singhar Malik did not only suspend the above-mentioned officer following the incident but also formed an inquiry committee comprising three police officers against him which is inspecting the motive behind the incident.
