In view of threat alert, the security around the building of Sindh High Court in Karachi has been beefed up, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The number of contingent of police commandos and Rangers deployed at the SHC building has been increased keeping in view the fresh security alert.
The vehicles at all the entry points of the building are being searched.
The decision regarding enhanced security measures was taken at a meeting held under the chair of SHC Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh on Saturday.
The measures include surveillance of walls in the court’s periphery. Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon briefed the chief justice on the security situation and how the police were utilizing technology to improve security and counter terrorist attacks.
Officials of the Home Department, Pakistan Rangers and police attended the meeting.
