Gold reserves worth Rs600 billion discovered in Attock

Punjab Minister for Mines Ibrahim Hasan Murad on Wednesday disclosed that huge gold reserves have been discovered in Attock, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The provincial minister said that total value of the gold deposits is 2.8 million tolas.
According to a rough estimate, a revenue of Rs600 billion will be generated from the recent discovery of gold mines, revealed Ibrahim Hasan Murad.
He said in this regard, the report of Geological Survey of Pakistan is complete.
Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that 9 blocks of placer gold have been identified which will be auctioned soon, Ibrahim Hasan Murad said.
Geological Survey of Pakistan examined 127 samples, said Ibrahim Hasan.
Along with gold, zinc, silver, nickel, manganese and copper have also been identified in the samples, he added.
Exploration of placer gold deposits has been done up to 75 square kilometers, Ibrahim Hasan Murad said.
The country's economy will get stability from the mineral sector, Provincial Minister said.
