Journalists rally in London against suspension of 24News licence

Journalists staged a strong protest against suspension of 24NewsHD TV’s licence outside the Pakistan High Commission building in London on Monday.

They showed solidarity with the 24NewsHD TV management and the workers who were injured during Monday’s protest and raised slogans against the PTI-led federal government for targeting the media. Journalists associated with various associations and media houses took part in the protest.

Journalists Murtaza Ali Shah, Shaukat Dar, Afzal Chaudhry, M.K. Pasha, Muhammad Tariq Sohail, Abdul Majeed, Raja Naqeeb, Shahid Khan, Waseem Raza, Ghulam Hussain Awan and Wajahat Khan took part in the protest. 24NewsHD TV correspondent in London Asad Ali Malik thanked the journalists from all media houses and associations for their participation in the protest demonstration.
