A soldier embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire between terrorists and lawmen in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Wednesday.

Sepoy Waheed Khan, 23, resident of Nowshera embraced martyrdom in the fight against terrorism in the Mir Ali area, the military media wing added.

Last week, security forces killed three terrorists and recovered arms and acumination. Last month, troops killed more than a dozen terrorists in different areas of the Waziristan district.
