Lahore is set to experience a taste of London with the approval of a tram project that will operate in Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market, and Hali Road.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the project was approved in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at the LDA Headquarters on Saturday.
The channel reported that the re-modelling and beautification of MM Alam Road have also been approved in the meeting.
The meeting also sanctioned the construction of two underpasses on the six-lane road from Karim Block to the Motorway.
To support these initiatives, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been given a revenue generation target of 46 billion rupees.
These developments aim to enhance the urban infrastructure and provide a modern transportation solution for the city.
