Complaints of diarrhoea and dehydration due to extreme heat are on the rise, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Monday.
About 70 patients came to Jinnah Hospital with diarrhoea, while 45 patients came to Mayo Hospital, 40 to Services, 25 to General, and 6 to Ganga Ram Hospital.
Prof Shabbir Ahmed says there are complaints of dehydration in extreme heat. He added that commercial drinks and poultry were becoming a major cause of diarrhea and cholera.
