Section 144 imposed in Wana city of South Waziristan

Authorities have imposed Section 144 in South Waziristan district headquarters Wana for one month and banned the display of all kinds of weapons, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner in a notification issued said display of all kinds of weapons has been banned for 30 days. 

The TV channel reported that land disputes have escalated in the region and arms are being displayed publicly in South Waziristan district.

Earlier, an arrest warrant under 3-MPO was issued against 60 leading leaders of Dotani and Zalikhel tribesmen due to a land dispute.
