Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday chaired the meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee in Islamabad and expressed his resolve to defeat all possible moves by the united opposition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PTI core committee session was held ahead of the PDM and opposition stalwarts meeting at the Zardari House in Islamabad that would decide the headway to bring the no-confidence motion.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail briefed the PTI core committee that he has been in contact with the PTI leader Aleem Khan.

The huddle also discussed two ‘heavyweights’—Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan—and their possible alliance. Source claimed that Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak have been tasked to make contact with the disgruntled PTI members.

The meeting discussed the political situation of the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and Sindh governor also participated in the meeting.

Imran Khan said that his government would foil the plans of the ‘dacoits’ and there was no threat to the democratic government.

The premier said that those who were facing cases could not bring about a revolution with the looted money.

SAPM Dr Babar Awan briefed the core committee members on the parliamentary affairs.

PM Khan said that the government would bring the South Punjab bill soon in the National Assembly and directed his legal and parliamentary team to complete the legal arrangements of the said bill.

On the other hand, Abdul Aleem Khan also intensified his meetings with the MNAs and MPAs including the disgruntled legislators of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and lawmakers from the opposition benches.
