Peshawar Zalmi’s batting against Lahore Qalandars continues in the 23rd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.
The match is being played between the two teams at Rawalpindi cricket stadium.
Peshawar Zalmi had scored 137 for 2 till the filing of the news.
Earlier, the Babar Azam-led side had won the toss and opted to bat first against Lahore Qalandars.
Peshawar Zalmi’s squad is unchanged for today’s match while Lahore Qalandars have made one change in their playing XIs.
It merits a mention here that Lahore Qalandars have been unbeaten since the start of PSL 8 except for a single defeat in their match against Karachi Kings.
The team have also led the way into the playoffs, grabbing the first position on the points table with 12 points.
Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, have played six matches so far, and they remained victorious in three of them. They rank fourth on the points table with six points.
Victory in today’s match will be a must for Peshawar Zalmi to strengthen their chances of going into the playoffs.
