Schools, colleges to remain closed today

The Sindh government has announced a scheduled public holiday in schools and colleges on March 8 (today) on account of Shab-e-Barat which will be observed tonight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the Chairman of all Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association Haider Ali Shah, there will also be a public holiday on March 23 as announced by the Government of Pakistan. 

“Educational institutions are closed on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat every year as per the fixed schedule related to the holidays of the Steering Committee of Sindh Education Department,” he continued. 

He further said that the federal government has also reinstated the public holiday of March 23 in honour of Pakistan Day.
