Denying emphatically that he had any property either in Spain or the USA, former Punjab chief minister and PTI leader Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Tuesday that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as well as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had all the record of his properties, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media men outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore office, he said by the grace of The Almighty Allah he was a Pakistani.
He said today he appeared before the NAB team on the court order and answered all the questions for three hours. “We are the people’s representatives and are answerable for our deeds,” he said.
When asked whether he saw elections taking place on time, he said whatever should be held should be held in the light of the constitution.
Replying to question that whether he would like to become the Punjab chief minister again, Buzdar said that he was a worker of PTI, and would gleefully accept the assignment his leader Imran asked him to do.
He went on to say never ever in the history of Punjab so many development works were launched as when he was the CM. “The kind of governance I introduced is matchless,” ex-CM said.
AC extends Buzdar’s bail until March 16:
On the other hand, an accountability court in Lahore extended the interim bail granted to Buzdar until March 16.
During the hearing, when the judge asked ex-chief minister’s lawyer whether arrest warrants for his client had been issued, the counsel replied that warrants had not been issued as yet. “Right now the inquiry is underway,” he added.
