A group of Hindu devotees reached Pakistan via Wahga border crossing on Wednesday to celebrate the religious festival of Maha Shivaratri, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The devotees will stay in the country up till March 12.
Talking to the media, the group head Vishwu Bajaj thanked Punjab Rangers for making foolproof security arrangements at the border.
Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the deity Shiva, between February and March. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival is observed on the fourteenth day of the dark half of the lunar month of Phalguna or Magha.
