A heartbroken youth in Sukkur registered his protest for not realising his marriage by climbing up an electricity pole, saying the relatives had deceived him and even sold his land, reported 24NewsHD on Saturday.

This incident was reported at Budh village where Hanif Dasti, in a bid to divert people’s attention towards his plight, decided to hang from the top of a 132-KV power pylon.

According to Dasti, his relatives had tricked him into believing that they would ensure his marriage. And instead of getting a bride, he lost his land in the process as the relatives traded that. The relatives, meanwhile, are still not ready to address the marriage issue.

Later, the local elders intervened and initiated a dialogue for convincing him to climb down with a promise that they would resolve the issue.

However, it took two hours to make Dasti believe in their promise as he landed on the ground after hectic arguments and counterarguments.

However, Dasti is now at the local police station as the cops detained him soon after he came down from the power pylon.
