He surpassed England’s Jos Butler’s 240 runs mark in the match against Scotland with his classy 66 runs innings.

And he has become a true nemesis for Indian captain Virat Kohli, who has been regarded as on the best batsman in the world cricket has seen so far in it more than 100 years of history, when it comes to the cricket records showing he is a class above and step ahead from his Indian counterpart.

With his 19th half century of the year, Pakistani captain snatched the record of most half centuries being scored in a single calendar year being held by Kohli. Kohli made 18 half centuries in the 2016 season.

He has also become the T20 captain with most half centuries under his name as against Scotland his half-century was 15th as a captain.

Moreover, he also becomes a captain with most half-centuries in a single series with his fourth 50-plus score in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

He also smashed the record of scoring the most runs as a captain in a T20 World Cup. Previously, former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene held the record by scoring 201 runs.

Babar also snatched the record of the most runs in a T20 World Cup by a Pakistani player formerly held by Salman Butt who had scored 223 runs.
