By expressing deep concern about the law and order situation in Punjab, federal cabinet members have given hints of imposing Governor’s Rule in the province on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the federal government has expressed its deep concern about the law and order situation in Punjab.
The sources said that keeping in view the situation in Punjab, the Prime Minister called a meeting of the heads of the coalition parties on his return to Pakistan.
The sources said that the provincial government has failed to maintain law and order in Punjab and constantly supporting a political party’s disruptive groups.
The cabinet members said that Punjab is repeatedly informed by the federal government about the violations of law and order and the rights of the people.
They said the Home Ministry has written several letters to the Punjab Chief Secretary, and IG Punjab police on the tense situation in the province.
In consultation with the coalition parties, the Prime Minister can take extreme measures for administrative matters in Punjab.
It is worth mentioning here that Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain while talking to the media in Sheikhupura on Monday has given a statement that the governor’s rule could be imposed in Punjab.
