In a development related to the arson incident at the office of Pakistan Muslim League-N in Model Town Lahore on May 9, new arrests have been made as the investigation unfolds, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the course of the investigation, five individuals believed to be connected to the arson case were presented before an identification parade.

Four of the five accused’s identities were established during the identification parade. They were presented before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore.

Judge Abhar Gul Khan ordered that four of the accused, identified as Alvin Salim, Muhammad Qasim, Muhammad Bilal, and Nadeem Asghar, be placed in police custody on a seven-day physical remand.

However, the court discharged one of the accused Sulaiman Qadri, from the case due to a lack of identification in the parade.

The investigating officer noted that the accused in custody are believed to be directly involved in the case of burning the PML-N office.

This ongoing legal process is being conducted under case number 366/23 and is based at the Model Town police station, signifying a step forward in addressing the May 9 office arson incident.
