Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif met Pakistani journalists in London before leaving the UK, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
Nawaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to the media persons for coverage during his stay abroad.
“I am grateful to all the journalists who wrote for and against me. This is my last day at the office here.”
He urged media persons to discharge duty with responsibility, saying: “Journalism has an important role in society. People value their opinions, they should refrain from blackmailing, backbiting and slander.
He laid stress on constructive criticism and stressed the need to shun harassment and bullying abroad.
He recalled: “Maryam Aurangzeb and other women were harassed up in London

“If they want to protest, they should go to Pakistan.
