Former defence minister and senior PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said on Saturday that former prime minister and the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif would return to the country on October 21 and would go on to become the prime minister for the fourth time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference at Sialkot, he said that Nawaz would stay briefly in one or two countries before his homecoming.

He further said it was last time when Nawaz was the country’s prime minister that the country got rid of terrorism and loadshedding. “Only Nawaz is capable of resolving all the issues confronting the country these days,” he claimed, adding, “He was the one under whose leadership the country got rid of the IMF, and will get rid again.”

He also claimed that the index of corruption came down when he was the country’s premier. “There was less inflation at that time and the country was progressing,” Asif added.
