The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation, signifying the importance of strengthening cultural ties and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to the Mayor of Istanbul to visit Lahore.
During the meeting, the proposal to transfer the Turkish Consulate to the diplomatic enclave was also put forward.
Such a move would not only enhance diplomatic efficiency but also strengthen the diplomatic presence of Turkey in the region.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his desire to collaborate with Turkish businessmen, encouraging them to invest in Punjab. He assured that all necessary facilities and support would be provided to facilitate Turkish investments in the province.
Consul General Durmus Bastug shared his vision of bolstering economic relations between Turkey and Punjab, aiming to boost bilateral trade to five billion dollars through a mutually beneficial trade agreement.
The presence of provincial ministers, including Aamir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, the IGP, the Secretary of Planning and Development, the Commissioner of Lahore Division, and the Deputy Commissioner, highlighted the significance of the meeting and the commitment to advancing diplomatic and economic ties.
