The law and order situation at Islamabad’s D-Chowk, situated in a highly sensitive Red Zone, and the surrounding areas is well under the control of the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) as they have managed to clear the Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area and China Chowk, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

However, the contingents of police, Pakistan Rangers and Pakistan Army are still patrolling these areas while at the same time scores of PTI protestors have been arrested as well.

All routes leading to the Red Zone, barring the Margalla Road, are still sealed as containers have still not been removed from Serena Chowk, NADRA Chowk and D-Chowk.

On the other hand, containers have been removed the Zero Point, Faizabad and Expressway due to which traffic has been restored in these areas.

On Saturday, caravans of PTI workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab succeeded in reaching the Red Zone of the federal capital despite strict security arrangements put in place by the government to keep them at bay.
