The Islamabad District and Sessions Court has remanded Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, to police custody for one day.
The two were presented in court today after being arrested two days ago from the D-Chowk area in Islamabad.
The court ordered their physical remand, allowing the police to further investigate their involvement in the case.
Along with Aleema and Uzma Khan, the court also handed over Adnan Khan, the brother of former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, to police custody for a one-day physical remand.
The sisters were arrested by Islamabad police during protests at D-Chowk, a location that has become a focal point of political activity in recent days.
Police requested the court a 20-day physical remand of the accused.
A case has been registered against 105 workers, including the sisters of the PTI founder, in Kohsar police station under terrorism provisions.
Following the court's orders, the Duty Judge has instructed that Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, and other accused be presented before an Anti-Terrorism Court tomorrow, indicating the seriousness of the charges they face.
