Two brothers were shot dead by unknown assailants in Mene jurisdiction of Police Station Topi in Swabi reported 24News TV channel on Monday.
Police sources told media men that the deceased brothers were killed due to old enmity.
Sources further said that both brothers were returning home after meeting with their cousin. On their way back, some unknown assailants who were waiting for them in a target location opened fire on them, killing both of them on the spot.
The deceased brothers were identified as Mohammad Zaib and Farrukh Ser.
Local police reached the crime scene immediately and shifted dead bodies of two brothers to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Topi for autopsy.
The accused persons fled away from the scene after firing.
Police registered a case against three accused persons and started investigation.
