CJCSC holds talks with Chinese defence minister in Moscow

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza, who was on a two-day official visit to Moscow, held a meeting with China's Minister of National Defence General Wei Fenghe on the sidelines of Defence and Security Cooperation Conference at SCO Forum.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, matters related to changing geostrategic environment and further strengthening of security and defence cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ‘Iron Brotherhood’ and ‘All-Weather’ friendship with continued efforts to forge deeper strategic ties for a shared future and security vision.
Earlier, Chief of General Staff of Russian Federation General Valery V Gerasimov during a meeting with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza in Moscow lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces.
Matters of bilateral military cooperation and regional security dynamics between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
General Valery Gerasimov lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Pakistan, Azerbaijan take up military cooperation
Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov also met General Nadeem Raza in the Russian capital Moscow, Azeri news agency Trend reported, citing Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the development of traditional friendship and mutual trust between the peoples of the two countries, including Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations, as well as the level of strategic partnership.
Touching upon the military-political situation in the region, the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan spoke about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and thanked Pakistan for the support of Azerbaijan's fair position in resolving this issue within international organizations.
The meeting discussed issues of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of security, in the military, military-technical and military-educational spheres, in the fight against terrorism, including the development of relations between the naval and air forces of the two countries, as well as conducting joint military exercises.
