The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested more than 24 people who were trying to cross the border into Iran illegally from the Jiuni area of Gwadar district.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, FIA sources said the arrested persons belong to different areas of Punjab and were planning to travel to Europe via Turkey after reaching Iran.
This is the second such incident in two days, as more than 20 people were nabbed by the FIA officials from the same area on Monday.
The sources said that the illegal immigration attempts have resumed in Gwadar after a lull following the recent attacks in the Makran division of Balochistan.
The FIA has launched a crackdown against the human traffickers and their agents in the region, the sources said.
