The cricket teams of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are scheduled to leave for Colombo, Sri Lanka, on a chartered flight on Thursday afternoon, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to sources, the broadcasters and other officials will also go to Sri Lanka on the same flight.
It's worth noting that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had previously requested the convening of an Asian Cricket Council Executive Board meeting, but this request was not fulfilled. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is determined to host the Asia Cup matches in Colombo.
In response, the PCB's letter to ACC President Jay Shah has been made public. In the letter, the PCB raised concerns about potential rain affecting the matches and requested that the ACC compensate for any losses, including gate money, in such a scenario. However, the PCB also stated in the letter that the national cricket team would participate in the Asia Cup as a form of protest.
