Sindh High Court has directed Federal and Provincial Government to review the procedure regarding issuance of licence to water manufacturing companies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After hearing case of extraction of underground water by Water Manufacturing companies, Sindh High Court issued detail judgment of the case.
The court imposed a ban on extraction of underground water by companies across Sindh without official permission. The court orders all union councils and corporations to take action against illegal underground water extractors.
SHC ordered the concerned authorities to visit water companies and get their water tested from laboratories. The court also directed the companies to clearly write mineral water and bottled water’s ingredient list on their bottles.
The SHC sought details related to the completion of the plans for developing all the laboratories established in Sindh. The court sought details from the health secretary regarding dialysis machines and staff across Sindh. Later the court put off the hearing of the case till October 3, 2024.
