In a yet another brutal act, a teenaged girl was murdered after being kidnapped and raped in Hafizabad on Wednesday.

According to details as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel, the tragic incident was reported in the Saddar Police Station’s precincts in Hafizabad, where three identified armed men kidnapped 15-year-old Allah Maafi – daughter of a brick kiln labourer – from her house.

They gang-raped her at gunpoint and later administered poison to her while dumping the girl at an isolated place. The innocent girl was rushed to a local hospital where she lost her life at the trauma centre.

The rape cases have become a routine in the district as the Hafizabad police have failed miserably in controlling the trend.

Earlier, a minor girl was raped and murdered in Jalalpur Bhattian by a rickshaw driver last month.

Separately, a 12-year-old girl was raped in Pindi Bhattian in February.

But these criminal acts are not limited to Hafizabad as such crimes are being reported from around the country.

Violence against women and girls has become an expression of power for many as even the mentally challenged ones are not spared.

In one such incident, two men raped a 13-year old mentally challenged girl at a village near Wah Cantt in January.

Similarly, a deranged man sexually assaulted a mentally retarded 10-year-old girl in Goth Wastra in Khairpur in February.
