The Counter-Terrorism Department has arrested eight terrorists including members of proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban and Daesh in various operations conducted in different districts including Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The CTD recovered explosive material, hand grenades and literature from the possession of the arrested terrorists.
The anti-terrorism force captured militants Akhtar Nawaz who belongs to TTP and Muhammad Usman who is a member of Daesh from Lahore.
The CTD arrested 4 terrorists from Gujranwala and one militant each from Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur.
The arrested terrorists identified as Fawad Ullah, Faqir Muhammad, Asif Nawaz, Ziaur Rehman, Ateeq Ahmad and Bashir. They belong to different militant outfits.
The CTD registered six FIRs against the militants under anti-terrorism laws.
