A naib tehsildar and his security guard remained unhurt when a powerful improved explosive device (IED) exploded near his vehicle in Saifeel Dera area of Upper Orakzai on Tuesday, reported 24News HD TV Channel.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfanuddin said that the vehicle belonging to the naib-tehsildar was damaged in the attack.
Soon after the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the spot and started a search operation.
Earlier in March 2025, two officials were martyred and five were injured in a bomb attack on the vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) at Mamozai Road in Upper Orakzai.
According to security sources, the martyrs include Havaldar Altaf, a resident of Karak, and constable Khairuddin, a resident of Waziristan.
The injured and martyrs have been shifted to the hospital.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
