According to the TV channel, Shahid Hafeez, Deputy Director Revenue in Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) of Lahore, had a heated argument with his wife at his home in the morning.

According to police, his wife got infuriated and she shot her husband multiple times which resulted in his on-the-spot death.

Police said the woman is now in their custody as the brother of Shahid Hafeez has filed a complaint against his sister-in-law.

Earlier, it was reported that unidentified gunmen barged into Shahid Hafeez’s house and shot him dead.

The incidents of gun attacks are on the rise in the provincial capital of Lahore.

On July 31 last, a former additional controller of Punjab University was shot dead in Lahore. Professor Ahmed Ali Chattha was travelling to a dairy farm from his house when he was attacked by armed motorcyclists. He was killed with a single bullet.

The Mustafa Town police have begun an investigation and believed the attack might have been the result of personal enmity.

However, according to Professor Chattha’s friends, he didn’t have any enemies.
