Indian Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has congratulated and offered best wishes to Arshad Nadeem for his wonderful win, reported 24 News HD Tv Channel on Monday.
Arshad Nadeem not only won the gold medal but also set a new record by throwing a javelin throw of 90.18 m in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Arshad also beat Chopra's Tokyo Olympic throw of 87.58m, which helped him win gold, and the World Athletics Championship throw of 88.13m, which helped the Indian athlete win silver.
Arshad Nadeem also thanked the entire nation in his video message. “Thanks to the abundant prayers of my parents and the entire nation, I have achieved success by setting this record. Elbow and knee pains were so troubling that at one point it looked difficult for him to compete in the Commonwealth Games”.
