First women's expedition: Sultana Nasab hoists Pakistani flag on K2

Participants of the first women's K2 expedition successfully reached the summit of the world’s second-highest peak, K2, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Thursday. 


According to the channel report, the team, led by Sarbaz Khan, embarked on this adventurous journey last month with special support from the Pakistan Army.


Team members dedicated their success to the Pakistan Army and the nation of Pakistan, stating that despite harsh weather conditions, they were determined to accomplish their mission. 


Team leader Sarbaz Khan extended congratulations and gratitude to the entire nation.


Sultana Nasab, a team member from the Shimshal region of Gilgit-Baltistan, expressed her joy at hoisting the Pakistani flag on the summit of K2 and thanked the Pakistan Army for their support.


To date, those who have summited K2 include Sarbaz Khan, female member Sultana Nasab, Imtiaz Sadpara, and Ashraf Sadpara. 


Upon completing their mission and arriving in Skardu, the team received a warm welcome from the Pakistan Army. 


Later, in Gilgit, the commander of the Frontier Constabulary of the Northern Area (FCNA) met with the team members, congratulated them, and distributed certificates of appreciation.
