A man in Peshawar met a terrible fate on Wednesday when he climbed an electric pole near a motorway toll plaza to steal a wire, but received an electric shock and died, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rescue 1122 personnel and the WAPDA employees removed his corpse hanging from the pole and handed it over to the police.
The team of WAPDA, which was present at the site, confirmed that the man was not their colleague.
Police, on the other hand, said that the deceased, a resident of Shabqadar, had come to steal the wire.
