The National Highways Authority (NHA) has been accused of awarding three major contracts worth Rs30 billion under the Balochistan Package to a “favourite company”.
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced a Rs50 billion package for Balohistan’s Kuchlak and Zhob districts a few days ago. Now there are reports that NHA has awarded the contract to complete Rs30 billion projects to its favourite company SKB. Sources say that NHA has awarded the SKB these projects in violation of the rules and regulations.
Sources say the SKB Company submitted a fake audit report to win the contracts for these projects. Sources say the PTI government has also given this company a tax exemption of Rs1.8 billion. According to the sources, Planning Division Member Naveed Walla is the one who is getting the SKB Company projects. Sources say that Federal Communications Minister Murad Saeed is also beneficiary of these projects.
