Clash at ECP office: Multan police arrest PTI's Amir Dogar, PML-N's Tariq Rasheed

Police in Multan Wednesday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate from NA-155 Amir Dogar and Pakitna Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Tariq Rasheed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Amir Dogar was arrested from his place and sent to Cantt police station.

At least 12 PTI workers were also arrested from party leader Amir Dogar's Dera (guest house) in Multan as police raided the place for apprehending the party activists allegedly involved in creating chaos outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office soon after they scuffled with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) workers.

The former PTI MNA, who was present at the time of the raid, demanded that he be arrested along with party workers.

The police complied and the arrested people were taken to a police station in Cantt.

Later, police also arrested PML-N candidate Tariq Rasheed in the same case also.

Earlier, a clash erupted Wednesday between the workers of PTI and PML-N in Multan which left many of them with injuries.

The workers of both the parties came to blows over unknow reason.

They also damaged the property of the election commission’s office.
